Swamp Cooler Service
Decades of evaporative cooler experience across Arizona homes, casitas and outbuildings. Full seasonal service, expert repairs, and refrigerated air conversions when you are ready for the upgrade.

AZ's Original Cooler
Swamp coolers — evaporative coolers — work the way our desert wants them to: water passes through pads, hot dry air pulls through, and the home cools as that air evaporates moisture. In Arizona's low-humidity months, that simple physics delivers serious comfort at a fraction of the energy cost.
But pads clog, pumps die, motors seize, and hard water scales everything it touches. Proper twice-a-year service is what separates a swamp cooler that purrs all season from one that limps into August.
What We Do
Every part of your swamp cooler, every season — covered.
Full April startup — pads, pump, float, belt, water-line and tune for the season ahead.
October drain-down, water-line bleed, cover install — protect your unit from freeze damage.
Premium aspen or rigid cellulose pads installed for maximum airflow and cooling output.
Failed pump? Stuck float? We replace recirc pumps and adjust floats so water flows right.
Bearings, belt tension, blower motor swaps — quiet operation and consistent CFM restored.
Hard-water scale chokes performance. We descale, flush and treat the pan and distributor.
Seasonal Service
Two visits a year — bookended by Arizona's cooling season — protect your equipment, your comfort and your utility bill.
April · Spring Startup
We swap the pads, inspect and replace the pump if needed, reseat the float, test belt tension, tighten the motor, restore water lines and tune the bleed-off so the unit runs cool and clean.
Why it matters: starting fresh means a full season of efficient cooling and zero mid-July emergencies.
October · Fall Shutdown
We drain the pan, bleed the water line back to the home, disconnect supply, cap the duct opening, and install a weatherproof cover so the unit rides out the cold months without freeze damage.
Why it matters: a single hard freeze on a charged water line can crack fittings, ruin pumps and stain ceilings.
Ready for Refrigerated Air?
Evap coolers are fantastic — until they aren't. As monsoon humidity builds, evaporative cooling loses its edge and homes feel sticky. If you are chasing consistent comfort across every month, or thinking about resale value, converting to refrigerated air may be the right move.
We will walk your home, check your ductwork, verify your electrical panel and right-size a system — no pressure, just honest numbers.

Twice a year is the rule in Arizona — a spring startup in April and a shutdown in October. Pads, pumps, motors and floats all degrade in our heat and hard water, so two short visits a year prevent the expensive mid-summer breakdowns and add years to the unit.
Aim for early-to-mid April, before daytime temps push past 90 degrees. Booking ahead gets you on the calendar before the rush, and a startup completed before peak heat means new pads, fresh water and a fully tuned unit on the very first hot day.
Standard aspen pads typically last one cooling season in our climate — replace them every spring. Rigid cellulose pads can last two to three seasons when properly maintained. Either way, mineral buildup and sun damage from AZ summers wear them down faster than in cooler regions.
Yes, and it is one of the most requested upgrades we handle. We assess your existing ductwork, electrical capacity and home layout, then right-size a refrigerated system and remove or cap the old evap unit. Financing is available and many homeowners see strong resale value gains.
Musty odor almost always means standing water, biofilm on old pads, or a clogged drain pan. A full cleaning, fresh pads, descaling of the distribution lines, and sometimes a bleed-off line correction clears it up. Skipping a fall shutdown is a common cause.
Both. Our technicians are equipped for rooftop, side-mount window-style and ground-mount evaporative coolers across single-story homes, two-story homes, casitas, garages and outbuildings. We carry parts for every common brand on every truck.
